This grant supports documentary filmmakers who live and work on the African continent and are developing or producing a feature or broadcast-length documentary.
It is designed for producers and directors with previous professional experience who are creating documentaries intended for both local and international audiences.
- Offers both development and production funding
- Open to filmmakers living and working in Africa
- For feature-length or broadcast-length documentaries
- Project must be produced and shot in Africa
- Director and producer must each have at least one previous professional credit
- Selected projects may also be considered for a year-long mentorship program
- School projects, series, and fiction films are not eligible
